The 2014 Capitol Hill Garage Sale Day is 6/14/14!

We're back... again!. Please consider rallying around the date for your own sale anywhere on the Hill -- or sign up for a $20 community space to join us in our brand new space in CAL ANDERSON PARK!!! REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 4th!.

WE HAVE MORE ROOM! Cal Anderson will host 30+ sales but it turns out we have space for more! Bonus registration closes Tuesday, June 10th AT MIDNIGHT!

This year, we're working with the Cal Anderson Park Alliance to make Garage Sale Day a great event to benefit CAPA and its efforts to activate Cal Anderson Park year-round.
The goal of Capitol Hill Community Garage Sale Day is to give Hill citizens a day to rally around to get rid of some junk, do some recycling and meet neighbors.


Here's how to participate:

  • Fill out the form to tell us about your June 14th, 2014 sale.
  • We'll compile a list and create a map to let everybody know where to shop.
  • We'll have a community location to host sales for apartment dwellers, etc. at Cal Anderson.
  • We'll confirm your registration and send you payment info if you're signing up for a Cal Anderson table
  • Clean out your closets.
  • Have a fun sale, meet your neighbors, take pictures.
It's that easy.

Sorry for no responses here, everybody. CAPA is handling signups this year and should be in touch soon. Sit tight. It's their first year running the registration so working out the process!

Thanks for the update on CAPA. Still, I hope they respond sooner rather than later. I personally know a few people who decided not to bring stuff down because there has been zero communication from the organizers. Even just the basics (where are we setting up? Parking? Do we get a table?) would relieve some anxiety. Ugh.

Any chance that CAPA will be posting the descriptions of the individual sellers who will be in Cal Anderson Park? Right now you can read detailed descriptions of the garage sales in the surrounding area but not those of us in the park.
